Figalette – Fresh Fig and Almond Galette

This rustic fresh fig and almond tart, or Figalette as we like to call it, is the perfect dessert to make when figs are at their peak. This lovely summer tart is made with sweet ripe fig slices, arranged over a rich almond cream, and baked in a flaky, buttery crust. The galette is naturally sweetened with just a hint of maple syrup, and of course the delightful natural sweetness of the figs.

Coconut Dulce de Leche

Dulce de Leche, which translates to “sweet milk”, is a sweet sauce (similar to caramel), made of caramelized sweetened milk – or in this case coconut cream. Coconut dulce de leche is thick, creamy and tastes like sweetened toasted coconut, which in my opinion, tastes heavenly, and is even better than the original version.

Ginger Pecan Scones with Maple Butter – Vegan

These Ginger Pecan Scones are light and tender, and perfect with a cup of tea or coffee. They are easy to make and great to have on hand if you have guests throughout the holidays. The scones are spiced with ginger and studded with crunchy toasted pecans, and some crystallized ginger chunks, for that extra ginger kick.
