REVIEW – Impossible Chicken Nuggets

If you have ever tried any of the Impossible products, you’ll know how ridiculously close they taste and feel to actual meat. Personally, they’re almost too realistic for me, so I don’t really enjoy most of their stuff. But these Impossible plant-based chicken nuggets, are surprisingly tasty. They have the same flavor and texture as regular nuggets, so kids would totally devour them, without even noticing the difference. But hey, you’ll be the one who knows!

If you have an air fryer, you can just toss the nuggets in that. I don’t actually own one (gasp!), but apparently, it’s like a magical kitchen treasure that everyone should have! I just popped them in the oven at 375 F, and they were beautifully crispy in less than 15 minutes.

I used the Impossible Chicken Nuggets to make an old favorite in our house, a Thai Chicken Wrap with Spicy Peanut Sauce.

To whip up this delicious wrap, just pile some cooked brown rice, shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, scallions, thinly sliced red onions, cilantro, and a bunch of tasty nuggets onto a tortilla, then just roll it up. Voila! You’ve got yourself a seriously tasty treat that’s perfect on the go!

At 13 g per serving, these nuggets pack a decent punch of protein. However, with 240 calories for a mere 5 nuggets and a whopping 12 g of fat, these little guys aren’t exactly what you’d call health food. But, we all need a little junk in our lives every once in a while, and compared to the alternative, these are still so much better for everyone involved!

The Impossible Nuggets were $6.99 (at Trader Joe’s) for 4 servings.
